Seattle Children's Research Institute

Seattle Children's Research Institute, the research division of Seattle Children's, was established in 2006.[1] The research institute's campus encompasses 310,000 square feet (29,000 m2) in three buildings in downtown Seattle, near the heart of one of the nation’s most advanced biotechnology districts.[2] The research institute has 588 staff members, including 249 principal investigators focusing on infectious disease, cancer, immunology and many other areas.[3]

Seattle Children's Research Institute is organized into nine interdisciplinary research centers:

In 2004, the Treuman Katz Center for Pediatric Bioethics was established and became the first bioethics program in the United States to focus on pediatrics issues with a broad mission of research, consultation, education and training.[4]
